Kenyan consumers will have to dig deeper into their pockets after the pump cost of petrol as well as kerosene went up for the third month in a row, signalling a rise from the cost of living as prices of unga, milk, sugar as well as various other basic products continue to spike.
However, there was some respite after the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) announced a drop from the cost of diesel for the second month in a row.
Starting today, the pump cost of petrol will increase by Sh1.59, Kerosene Sh0.0 nevertheless the cost of diesel will come down by Sh0.57 to retail at Sh99.59, Sh65.28, as well as Sh88.05 respectively in Nairobi.
