MLK Comes to BK

This kind of coming Monday, January 15, activists, intellectuals, civic leaders, along with artists will gather at BAM for the city’s largest public celebration of the life along with legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2018 marks the 32nd year of This kind of event, yet the revolutionary leader has been celebrated inside the county in which bears his name since the 60s. Dr. King had deep ties to fresh York City, along with visited Brooklyn in 1963 to deliver a sermon at the historic Plymouth Church in Brooklyn Heights.

The 32nd Annual Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. convenes This kind of Monday, January 15 inside the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Lobby doors open at 8am, along with tickets are free along with available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis.
