Safaricom has slashed the cost of its mobile broadband prices by 53 per cent for the customers on its home service. The brand-new development will see Safaricom Home customers access two brand-new bundles, Easy30 along with Easy50 at Sh3,500 for 30 Gigabytes (GB) along with Sh 6,000 for 50 GB respectively.
Both Easy30 along with Easy50 will be exclusively available through the brand-new Safaricom Digital Internet along with TV Box along with the Safaricom BIGBox. The packages are provided as an alternative to the fixed Safaricom Home Fibre service.
“The brand-new Easy Bundles are designed to address the needs of the modern Kenyan family in mind. In addition, the affordability of the Easy data bundles will supplement our nationwide 4G coverage ensuring in which each home today has access to world-class, quality, high-speed broadband,” Joseph Ogutu, Director – Strategy, said in a statement.
The Easy30 bundle will have a validity of 30 days while the Easy50 bundle will have an extended period of 45 days. Customers will also contain the ability to roll over any unused bundles by purchasing additional bundles.
Safaricom Home customers who exhaust their bundles before the end of the bundle validity period can continue accessing the internet at speeds of 256 kbps along with at no additional cost until the end of the period.
Besides the Easy30 along with Easy50 packages, customers on the BIGBox can also buy a 15 GB bundle at a discounted Sh 3,199 along which has a all 5 GB bundle at Sh 1,199. Both the 15 GB along with 5 GB Home bundles will be valid for 30 days.
The Safaricom Digital Internet along with TV Box will be designed as a home internet along with entertainment hub. in which provides Wi-Fi connectivity for up to eight devices along with can also be connected to TVs for video along with music content. This particular will be comparatively cheap compared to some other products offered by the some other players within the market.
