VIDEO: Muthoni Drummer Queen’s completely new Reggae Jam can be a Tribute to Kenya’s “Invisible Everyday People”

Kenyan rapper, singer, writer in addition to activist Muthoni Drummer Queen can be back with some more conscious vibes.

Following up on the success of her previous Discharge – Kenyan Message, followed by a banging remix with NuNairobi’s finest – Steph Kapela, Shukid in addition to Tunji, the afro-poetry femcee returns with ‘Million Voice.’

“Million Voice,”which can be the second single off her upcoming concept LP, SHE, pays tribute to the ordinary people of Kenya.

According to Muthoni, “The song pays tribute to the millions of invisible, ordinary, everyday people doing whatever the idea takes to put bread on the table in addition to create an impactful life, in spite of, or maybe because of, the circumstances in which they found themselves in.”

Muthoni’s upcoming LP, which she will be releasing on October 27, will include hip-hop, dancehall, reggae, in addition to funk. the idea will be based on the perspectives of 11 different women.

“Each song can be a three to four-minute glimpse into the life of a particular woman,” says MDQ.

“These women are mainly urban dwellers, in addition to all of them are layered, complex individuals. The topics I chose to cover include love, failing marriage, difficult relationships with mothers, entrepreneurship, betrayal, among others. Expect a roller coaster of emotions delivered on some amazing instrumentals.”
